Vance Kershner is a seasoned executive and a successful entrepreneur who has founded and built a leading global software company in laboratory informatics. Vance founded Labware, Inc., headquartered in Wilmington, DE, in 1987 and is the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Labware sells laboratory information management systems (LIMS) software to streamline workflow and automate laboratory processes. The Company’s major customers are Fortune 500 pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food and beverage and biotechnology companies. Labware has received significant recognition for product quality and customer service.

 

The Company won Scientific Computing and Instrumentation’s Readers’ Choice Award in the LIMS category for nine consecutive years from 2000 to 2008 as well as a Frost & Sullivan Product Quality Leadership Award in 2004 and Front & Sullivan’s European LIMS Company of the Year Award in 2008.

 

From 1978 to 1987, Vance worked for E.I. duPont de Nemours and Company’s engineering department prior to founding Labware, Inc. He graduated with honors and received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
